HOW DO I ORDER TICKETS?

You may order tickets in four different ways

By Internet - Simply click here.

By Mail - Simply print the order form, complete and mail it with your
credit card information or check to:

WHAT TYPE OF SEATING IS AVAILABLE?

The Community Center Theater offers patrons four different types of seating:
PLATINUM Seating, GOLD Seating, SILVER Seating, and BRONZE Seating.
All seating is reserved. You will receive the same reserved seat for each
performance throughout the season. To view a seating chart at the

HOW ARE SEATS ASSIGNED?

Seating for the 2008-2009 season is assigned in the following order:

1) Returning Season Ticket Subscribers based on original Date of Purchase (in section)

2) Returning Season Ticket Subscribers basd on original Date of Purchase (upgrading sections)

3) Remaining Tickets are Assigned by Date of Purchase by Section.

WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY TICKETS?

Subscriptions ordered will be confirmed with a mailed letter approximately
one week after order placement. Tickets for the entire season are sent out during the first part of September.

CAN I BUY INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES / TICKETS?

Tickets are sold by Series only. Tickets to individual events are not available.
There are seven separate lectures in the Series, and a Series ticket includes all seven
lectures. If a Series is not sold out when it begins in September, tickets remain available
by Series, and the charge for the remaining engagements is prorated.

WHY?

Selling tickets as a package enables us to advertise the Series all at once and reduces
the costs of presenting these notable speakers. If each event were marketed and
ticketed individually, the ticket price would be approximately double that price. For the
same reason, there are no Senior or student discounts.

WHY HAVE SUBSCRIPTIONS INCREASED IN PRICE?

The Sacramento Community Center Theater is adding $1.50 facility fee per ticket for all
events thattake place at the theater starting July 1, 2008. This facility fee enables the
theater to start thefirst stage of restoration on their 35 year old theater. The theater facility
fee will be used exclusively to enhance the wonderful experience you have come to expect.

HOW LONG IS EACH LECTURE?

Each evening lasts one and one-half hours, from 8pm to 9:30pm . The evening begins with
short introduction by Society of Orators, LLC General Manager, Andy Eppinger. The
speaker begins at about 8:05pm with remarks usually lasting until at least 9pm. During
the talk, you have the opportunity to fill out "a question for tonight's speaker". Following
the speaker's formal remarks and beginning at approximately 9pm , audience questions
are posed to the speaker. The "Q&A" period belongs to the audience. This 25-30 minute
session, during which the speaker clarifies or amplifies previous remarks or offers
spontaneous and revealing new information, is often the most interesting portion
of the evening.

CAN I GET AN AUDIO TAPE, VIDEO TAPE, OR TRANSCIPT?

By contract, we do not create any of these for public use. Very seldom in our history has
this been done, and it required special permission from several sources.
