About the Series

The Sacramento Speakers Series is a community lecture series that runs from September through April with roughly one lecture per month. The Sacramento Speakers Series is held at the Memorial Auditorium which is located at 1515 J Street in downtown Sacramento. The series is open to the public by subscription to the entire series of speakers.

The Sacramento Speakers Series provides an open forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions, and perspectives as well as the enrichment of The Sacramento Community. Each season’s speakers represent a wide variety of subjects ranging from world affairs, politics, business & economics to the Arts, entertainment and the environment. Speakers are chosen on the basis of their career achievements, and unique expertise in their particular field of endeavor. To see a list of past speakers, please click here.

The success of the Series is directly related to subscribers’ satisfaction in meeting, first hand, extraordinary people whom they feel they otherwise might not seek out. Because the Sacramento Speakers Series is a product for the community, we invite the community to select the speakers they would like to see. Due to city and state guidelines and keeping your health and concerns in mind we have postponed our last three engagements of the 2019-2020 season (Paul Nicklen, Jane Fonda and Soledad O'Brien).  We are in the processing of rescheduling these events to 2021, so please hold on to your original tickets.  At this time, we are not issuing refunds. Once we have confirmation of the new dates, we will advise.

Thank you for your continued patience. We are counting the days to when we can welcome you back and once again bring BIG NAMES to Sacramento.
